BREAKING NEWS: RAV BERLAND’S ASK HIS STUDENTS TO DANCE FOR TWO DAYS

Rav Eliezer Berland, shlita, has just released a message to his students asking them to dance for him for two days over Purim, in order for him to be released.

Despite the Rav’s increasingly precarious health – which has necessitated him having two serious operations back-to-back, within the space of a fortnight – the Israeli authorities are still refusing to agree his release from prison.

If the matter was purely one of ill-health, that would be enough of a reason to storm the heavens with prayers for the release of Rav Berland, shlita. But, there are much deeper, spiritual issues involved here as well, which the Rav alluded to in his previous message when he told his students:

“[please] pray that the Rav should get out of prison before Purim, because then two-thirds are finished.”

The Rav’s persecutors within the Breslov community and the Israeli authorities have already thwarted the Rav’s attempts to be released before Purim. Now, the Rav is turning to the community to ask them to dance for two whole days over Purim, in order to sweeten the terrible judgments that are keeping the Rav imprisoned, and also continuing to threaten the Jewish nation.

This is according to Rebbe Nachmans teaching that “through dancing and clapping ones hands harsh judgements are sweetened” (LK 10).

The following is the translated text of Rav Berland’s latest note:

10th Adar, 5771, the time of the coming of Moshiach

Please dance from Motzae Shabbat until Monday night, each and every night, without taking a break for a moment, and in the merit of this, the Rav will be released.

With love, and in the merit of Rabbenu HaKadosh, the awesome and holy [Rebbe Nachman], and with the blessings of the holy, pure Torah,

Eliezer Berland
